The platform launched the “Achievements” display for “Creator Mode”, which will offer engagement milestone “badges.” These badges are available for different levels of post likes, accounts reached, follower count, lifetime number of reels (and reels played), and more.

This gamification of Instagram can be good news for creators stuck on how to keep themselves inspired to put content out regularly. We as humans love to complete things (think of people’s Wordle streaks!), and this concept can make the creation process less monotonous.  

What does this mean for you? If you’re a hardcore creator, this might not mean much to you. You’re already putting content out every day. But this does help other not-so-regular creators post for the sake of “playing” the game — and this could mean more saturation in the content market. Make sure your content is engineered for success — and your prize could be a badge and better engagement.
