YouTube’s cracking down if you have this type of account
Jun 28, 2023YouTube’s Demanding Clarity
YouTube will become the first platform (we assume with others soon to follow) who will require profiles to clarify if they have fan accounts, or are run by an actual celebrity/influencer/brand. This will go into effect as of August 21st, 2023.
We’re excited about this for many reasons, but primarily because it eliminates confusion for followers and viewers as to who is running the account.
While fan pages serve as valuable assets for promoting content and fostering community engagement, it’s important for them to respect the rights of original creators. Further, since these pages can be used to exploit loyal fans (i.e. scamming people out of money or making false promises), this now provides the fans extra transparency and help deciphering who they’re really talking to.
🎥 What's Trending
With over 6 million views, this video is trending because of its unique niche (and amazing payoff). With over 11k shares about quarters, here are some reasons this video succeeded.
The thumbnail right away captures curiosity with the title, “3 quarters to look out for.” Anytime we can use numbers, we trigger wonder in the brain. The opening image then helps grab our attention by not only showcasing a giant jar of money, but immediately generates more curiosity as she separates her coins on the center console. These compelling images get us to ask, “What’s going on here?” and, “Why do I care?”
In the back half of the video, the creator explains just how much money you can make if you have any of the listed defective coins. (A $300 return on 25 cents? Yes please!)
Your takeaway: Your niche can inspire others too! How can you share little-known insights that may lead to big payoffs for your viewers? How can you capture attention with a strong visual and opening image? How can you use numbers?
